Gala concert of the Vocal Department

On February 27 on the eve of XIV Sochi Festival Сlosing the Organ Hall will host the Gala concert of the Vocal Department.

Within the classes the aspiring young singers were having the opportunity to receive lessons in the highest professional skills from Europe’s greatest opera representatives.

The Vocal Department is headed by the Director of the Bolshoi Theatre Youth Programme, Honoured Art Worker of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Russian Academy of Choral Arts Dmitry Vdovin.
The Department’s professors are:

Outstanding Russian singer, People’s Artist of Russia, USSR State Prize winner Sergey Leiferkus;
Conductor, Musical Director of the Z. Paliashvili Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Guest Conductor of the London Chamber Orchestra Giancarlo Marciano;

Concertmaster of the Teatro alla Scala Mzia Bakhturidze;

General Director of the Opera for Peace project and Artistic Advisor of the Queen Sonja International Music Competition in Oslo and one of Europe’s major opera managers Julia Lagahuzere.

The All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Giancarlo Marciano, will take part in the gala concert.
