General provisions

The Folk Instruments Department is a division of the International Music Academy. It was established 3 years ago. In recent years, there is a common rise of interest to folk instruments: virtuoso performers are in-demand, and mixed ensembles appear, combining both academic and folk genres in a so called “crossover” style.

Candidate of Art History, Chief Conductor of the Lipetsk State Orchestra of Folk Instrumentsd

Domra player, member of the ensemble of Russia

Ivan Shramkov

Musician, producer, cultural scientist, professor of Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (department of management of musical art, department of producing of performing arts).

Registration for participation in 2021 is completed

The Academy is conducted in order to identify and support gifted children and creative youth of promising is an effective form of search and development of talented young musicians.
