The Festival is going to take place from 16th to 25th of February.
A large-scale program of events was planned in 2018 with the participation of leading Russian and foreign artists and groups.
Yuri Bashmet will take part in the concerts of the festival as a soloist and conductor of his collectives: the Moscow Soloists chamber ensemble and the State Symphony Orchestra “Novaya Rossia”, the organizers of the event told the Kuban 24 Internet portal.
The world premiere of the play “The Queen of Spades” in the author’s version of Bashmet will take place on 23d of February within the Festival.
Jane Monhatt (USA) will perform at the festival’s annual jazz concert, which this time will take place on February 18th, along with Michael Kanan, Neil Miner and Ricky Montalbano.
For the first time, the forum will be visited by the Beijing Northern Kunqu Theater, which will show the ancient Chinese opera “The Legend of the Jade Hairpin”.
The Tbilisi Puppet Theater of Rezo Gabriadze, the special guest of the festival, will show the performances “Ramona” and “Stalingrad” at the site of the “Seagull” Hall at the city’s Marine Station.
The festival will open on February 16, 2018 with the performance “Don’t Leave Your Planet” with the participation of Yuri Bashmet and Konstantin Khabensky.
Daniel Cipriani Entertainment Ballet Company, a special guest of the Ballet Evening, will show the production of Mauro Bigonzetti’s Mediterranean on 20th of February. Theatrical evening on February 19th will be presented by Yuri Butusov’s play “City. Marriage. Gogol “.
